Business Help Centre
Step-by-step guides for Nigerian business owners: set up your NaijaTrust profile, get more reviews, reply to customers and grow trust.
Getting started
Create your account, add your business and get approved.
- Create your business account: Sign up as a business owner in a few minutes. You only need an email address and a phone number.
- Claim your business or add a new one: If customers have already reviewed you, claim the existing page. If not, add your business. Both need one document to prove it’s yours.
- What happens after you submit: How approval works, what you can do while you wait, and what to do if a request is turned down.
- Complete your business profile: A full profile gets more views and more trust. Your dashboard shows how complete yours is.
- Manage more than one business or branch: Run several businesses or branches from one account and switch between them.
Getting more reviews
Ask customers the right way and make it easy for them.
- Get your first 10 reviews: The first reviews are the hardest. Here’s a simple way to get them in a week, without breaking any rules.
- Print your QR code and review card: Put a “Scan to review us” card on your counter, tables or packaging so walk-in customers can review you in seconds.
- What’s allowed when asking for reviews: Honest reviews are what make NaijaTrust worth trusting. These rules protect you and your customers.
- Help customers leave verified reviews: Reviews with proof of purchase carry more weight with buyers. Give customers what they need to prove they bought from you.
Replying to reviews
Answer good and bad reviews, and report the ones that break the rules.
- Reply to a review: A short, polite reply shows every future customer that you care.
- Handle a bad review calmly: A bad review isn’t the end. How you reply often matters more to new customers than the review itself.
- Report a review that breaks the rules: Some reviews shouldn’t be on NaijaTrust. Here’s how to send one to our moderators.
- Turn on automatic replies: Send a thank-you reply to every new review automatically, so no customer is left without an answer.
Showing off your rating
Put your NaijaTrust rating where customers decide to buy.
- Add your trust badge to your website: Show your live NaijaTrust rating on your own website. It updates by itself when new reviews come in.
- Let buyers check you before they pay: Many Nigerians are afraid of paying the wrong person online. List your official channels so buyers can confirm it’s really you.
- Share your reviews on social media: Turn a great review into a ready-made image for Instagram, Facebook or your WhatsApp status.
- Get the Verified badge: The Verified badge tells customers our team has checked who runs the business. It’s free on every plan.
Understanding your numbers
What your dashboard and analytics are telling you.
- Your dashboard numbers explained: What each number on your dashboard means and what to do about it.
- Read your analytics: See how customers find you, what they do next and how you compare with similar businesses.
